The event will bring together more than 700 business representatives
The 3rd Forum of Russian – Uzbek Interregional Cooperation has started today at Kazan Expo. The event will bring together more than 700 business representatives, representatives of 19 regions of Russia and 12 regions of Uzbekistan.
The Russian delegation is headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodzhayev is also expected to visit the forum. The forum will be attended by the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. On October 5, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev plans to visit Tatarstan for the first time.
The business program includes a plenary session, as well as the work of four thematic panel sessions. It is planned to discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation in transport and logistics, industrial, tourism and youth cooperation, according to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
A joint meeting of the Russian-Uzbek and Uzbek-Russian business councils will take place, as well as an exhibition “Russia and Uzbekistan: new opportunities for development”.
