<p> On October 8-20, Kazan will host the world congress World Urban Parks. An event of this scale will be held in Russia for the first time, said the head of the Directorate of parks and squares Marat Zakirov at a Business Monday. </p> <p> The architects, urbanists, landscape designers, urban planners and government officials will discuss public spaces and the impact on the urban environment at the international exhibition center "Kazan Expo". </p> <p> The Congress will unite the experts from Australia, New Zealand, USA, Africa, Europe and CIS countries. Participants of the congress will consider the best Russian and international approaches and practices for the creation of parks and public spaces at all stages - from concept to operation. In addition, they will discuss challenges and jointly develop a practical guidance on the development and management of the parks in Russia. </p> <p> The world park congress was initiated by the international association World Urban Parks, its holding in Kazan was supported by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan municipality and the Ministry of construction of the Russian Federation. In 2015, the Congress was held in Portugal and in 2018 in Australia. </p> <p> "It is an honor to host the world forum in Kazan after Portugal and Australia. Of course, it is followed by the presidential program for the development of parks and squares. This is a good opportunity for us to listen to the world experts, learn about new practices", - said the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and added that the development of public spaces continues in the capital of Tatarstan, so representatives of the Executive Committee and the landscaping industry need to take part in the Congress and hear the opinion of people who lead in this important issue. </p>
