Kazan will host the championship in cybathletics

<p> On October 10, the open championship in cybathletics will be held in the capital of Tatarstan in the framework of the specialized exhibition "Health industry. Kazan "in the exhibition center "Kazan Fair". </p> <p> Cybatletics is a competition between people with prostheses or electric wheelchairs. Participants of the championship will compete in the following disciplines: arms prostheses, hip prostheses, leg prostheses, electric wheelchairs. </p> <p> People with disabilities, using technical devices of rehabilitation, will compete on the tracks, consisting simulators of various regular routine that a person faces on a daily basis. So, the participants will have to overcome steps, curbs, go through the entrance doors, replace the electric lamps, hang clothes, grab objects of different shape and weights with a prosthetic hand, walk with the help of hip and over knee prostheses on curbs, keep their balance, drive an electric wheelchair, etc. </p> <p> The winners have to score points for the faultless execution or best time. The event is scheduled to take place on October 10 at 13.00. </p> <p> Earlier, similar events were held in Moscow, St.Petersburg, Novokuznetsk, Ufa, Kaluga and Sevastopol. </p>
