Kazan will take the final of the national championship “Young Professionals”

258 contestants in two age categories will perform in the national team of Tatarstan at the competition.

(KZN.RU, May 14, Alsou Safina). From 20 to 24 of May, Kazan will host the final of the VII National Championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia). More than 1.5 thousand contestants from 85 regions of the country will compete in 92 WorldSkills competencies and 48 WorldSkills Juniors competencies. More than 1.5 thousand experts will evaluate their work. The national championship will be a test on the eve of the world championship for participants from Tatarstan and other regions of the country.

“Now we are focusing on the national championship in order to prepare as many participants as possible”, said Rafis Burganov, the deputy prime minister and the minister of Education and Science of the RT, at the briefing in “Kazan Expo”. He said that the Tatarstan will be represented in the championship by a large team (258 people).

Karina Salikova, the deputy director general of the Union “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia), announced that teams from 85 Russian regions will take part in the final of the national championship.

In addition to the Russian contestants, 152 foreign participants from 26 countries will perform at the national championship: Mongolia, Japan, China, Portugal, Singapore, Vietnam, Great Britain, Belgium, and others. “For them, it will also be a test before the world championship”, explained Karina Salikova. “At the end of May, those who will compete in August will arrive in Kazan. They want to look at the site, get to know Kazan and Tatarstan”. Foreign experts will come along with the contestants.

According to Karina Salikova, it is important to work out all the details at the national championship. In particular, the site Future Skills will be developed. It is a site for competitions in rare, but promising competencies, which will be held in the framework of the world championship. “The site will be built as a smart city”, noted the deputy general director of the Union “Young Professionals”.

In the days of the national championship in Kazan, the championship “Skills of the wise (50+)” will take place in 26 Worldskills competences. 391 contestants and 26 top experts will attend it. The participants of the championship “Skills of the wise (50+)” will be able to complete an educational program and learn from WorldSkills experts.

The national championship will be held at the exhibition center “Kazan Expo”, as well as at 5 additional sites: Dekabristov Street, №96, at the International Service College (Adoratsky Street, №58b), the Kazan International Airport, the Inter-Regional Center of Competences (Galeev Street, №3a) and in printing house on Aktayskaya Street, №21/2.

A site “Try a skill” will be organized at the “Kazan Expo” where Tatarstan colleges will be represented. “It will be possible to come and try anything you would like to learn. There will be representatives of colleges at the site that will provide all the information about their school”, said Karina Salikova. “This is a big promotion for Tatarstan colleges”.

The opening and closing ceremonies of the national championship will be held at the “Tatneft Arena”. It is planned that more than 5 thousand spectators will take part in the ceremonies.
