Kazan will take on the torch relay of the Winter Universiade2019

25 torchbearers will run from the Palace of Culturologist past the iconic sights of the city to the main building of the KFU.

(KZN.RU, October 26). On November 10, Kazan will take on the torch relay of the XXIX World Winter Universiade 2019. The total length of the route in the capital of the RT is 2500 m.

At 10.30 am, 25 torchbearers will run fr om the Palace of Culturologist past the iconic objects of the capital of Tatarstan: the Resurrection Tower, the Syuyumbike Tower, the Annunciation Cathedral, the Kul-Sharif Mosque, the Tatarstan Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of the RT, and the National Library of the RT. The route will end at 11.50 am near the main building of the KFU, where the final celebration will take place with the lighting of the city cup of fire, according to the Media Department of Sports and Social Projects.

The fire of student games has been lit on September 20 in Turin (Italy), from wh ere the relay started. Within the framework of the international stage, torchbearers ran through the streets of Alma-Ata (Kazakhstan) and Harbin (China). In Russia, the torch relay has already been accepted in Moscow, Kaliningrad, Simferopol, Rostov-on-Don, Stavropol, and Grozny. The next stage after the torch relay of Kazan Winter Universiade 2019 will be held on November 17 in Yekaterinburg. In total, the route of the federal stage of the torch relay includes 30 major cities of the country. The last point will be Krasnoyarsk on March 1, 2019.
