More than four hundred athletes will compete at the Aquatics Palace.
From November 2 to 7 2021, the LEN European Short Course Swimming Championships will be held for the first time in Kazan at the Aquatics Palace. Four hundred and five athletes from 41 countries will take part in it. Due to the epidemiological situation, the competitions will be held without spectators.
Athletes will compete in 20 disciplines among men and women and two mixed disciplines. Athletes shall wear masks, hand dispensers will be installed at the venue, social distance and body temperature control at the entrances will be organized.

The European Short Course Swimming Championships is held under the auspices of the Ligue Européenne de Natation (LEN). On December 7, 2019, Kazan was announced as the 2021 host city. In 2024, the capital of Tatarstan will also host the LEN European Swimming Championships for the first time.
