Kazan presented Russia at the EMITT 2018 in Istanbul

<p> (KZN.RU, January 26). The 22nd Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition 2018 opened on January 25 in Istanbul. Kazan became the only city in Russia that presented a thematic stand. </p> <p> The exhibition is one of the five largest ones in the world in the field of tourism. This year delegates from 106 countries take part in it, the number of exhibitors is 1065. More than 6 thousand official business meetings are planned within the framework of the event. </p> <p> Daria Sannikova, the director of the Committee of Tourism Development of the city, headed the delegation of Kazan. With the support of the Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Turkey, the meetings were held with Ismail Gultekin, the Vice Governor of the Province of Istanbul, Serdal Akjurt, the director of the Tourism Authority of the Istanbul City Hall, the heads of the relevant departments of Turkey, and the mayors of Marmaris, Mersin, and Bursa. </p> <p> The tourist potential of Kazan was presented this year with the support of the Tourism Department of the City Hall of the Istanbul. In particular, the stand of the city was installed, at which the exhibitors could get acquainted with the opportunities of the capital of the RT as one of the leading points of attraction of tourists from both Russian regions and countries abroad. Everyone could visit Kazan tours, watch special 3D-videos in virtual reality glasses. </p> <p> Numan Kurtulmush, the minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, visited the stand of Kazan. Andrey Pod’elyshev, the consul general of Russia in Istanbul, marked the important role of Kazan in enhancing the tourist attractiveness of the RT and Russia as a whole. Kazan is the only city in Russia, which was represented by the stand within the framework of the EMITT 2018. </p> <p> Presentation of the opportunities of Kazan in the sphere of tourism was held within the framework of the exhibition with the participation of A. Pod’elyshev, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the RT in the Turkish Republic Airat Gataullin, the official and business groups of Turkey. </p> <p> Earlier Kazan was first presented at the international tourist exhibition FITUR in Madrid. </p>
