Kazan has applied to host the UEFA Super Cup

The results of the bid will be announced on March 2, 2020.

Today Kazan officially applied to host the UEFA Super Cup in 2022 or 2023. The venue of the Super Cup is chosen in conditions of severe competition among the biggest cities of the world.

The bid of Kazan to host the Super Cup with the participation of the strongest European clubs was supported at the Federal level and by the Russian Football Union in October this year.

To participate in the bid, it was necessary to prepare a number of documents, including 11 sections -such as urban traffic, training facilities, infrastructure, security, accommodation and more. All requirements are set by UEFA.

During November and December, the documents will be checked, and later, the special evaluation Commission will come to Kazan to ensure that the city is ready for the Super Cup.

The results of the bid will be announced on March 2, 2020.

The UEFA Super Cup is the official football tournament that opens the European season and consists of one match in which the reigning champions of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League of the previous season compete.
