Kazan officially obtained the status of the gastronomic capital of Russia

<p> On January 20, the Federal Service for Intellectual Property registered the trademark “Kazan-the gastronomic capital of Russia”. This status will allow in the future to increase the tourist flow to the capital of Tatarstan, as well as to establish special gastronomic tours. It is important that the city has created conditions that can satisfy the tastes and needs of any visitors, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, today at the Business Monday at the Executive Committee. </p> <p> The Committee for the Development of Tourism in Kazan proposed the idea of registering a trademark at the beginning of last year. Now the city is officially known not only the third capital of Russia, but also the gastronomic capital of the country. </p> <p> “We hope that the registration of the trademark and, in general, the results of our extensive work will allow us to promote the tourist brand of Kazan, - the head of the city said. – According to the feedback from visitors, we know that the level of gastronomy is high, there are restaurants for different budgets. It is important that all the necessary conditions are created for any of our guests”, - the Mayor said. </p> <p> Recently, domestic tourism is one of the most important economic tools and promising areas for the development of territories, said Daria Sannikova, Director of the Committee for the Development of Tourism. “Obtaining the patent “Kazan-the gastronomic capital of Russia” is a contribution to the development of the city's brand. No doubt that the promoted brand will guarantee the growing flow of tourists and increasing of competitive advantages”. </p>
