Kazan is preparing to host the Russian cadet fencing championship

Competitions will gather more than 1000 athletes from more than 40 regions of Russia.

(KZN.RU, January 18). Kazan is preparing to host the Russian fencing championship among the cadets under 18 years of age. The tournament will be held on three types of weapons: rapier, sword, and saber.

Competitions will gather more than 1000 athletes from more than 40 regions of Russia. Participants will be evaluated by 35 judges, who will determine the owners of 12 awards in the individual and team championship.

The tournament is held to popularize fencing in the regions of Russia, to improve the level of skill of young athletes, as well as to prepare a sports reserve for participation in international competitions.

The Russian fencing championship among cadets under the age of 18 will be held from 6 to 13 of February at the Kazan Boxing and Table Tennis Center. The entrance to the competition is free, reports the Directorate of Sports and Social Projects.
