The final stage of competition for the position of Old town prefect took place at the Executive Committee of Kazan. At the meeting of the Expert Council, chaired by the mayor Ilsur Metshin, six candidates presented their vision of the development of the Old Tatar Settlement.

Competition for the position of prefect started on October 21. A total of 11 applications were accepted. The finalists of the competition have become- Robert Garipov, the first deputy head of the administration of Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts, Rustam Ramazanov, CEO of Dorstroy Komplektatsiya LLC, Deputy of the Kazan city duma, Ramil Sadriev ,PhD student of KFU, Marsel Fattakhov, head of the Department of research works on drilling and grouting solutions of KogalymNIPIneft LLC, Ilnur Shakirov, head of the department for the development of languages and interaction with NGOs of the Kazan Executive Committee, Renat Shamsutdinov, first deputy head of the housing policy department of Kazan.

The final competition and presentations of the development concept were assessed by Evgenia Lodvigova, vice-mayor of Kazan, Denis Kalinkin, head of the Executive Committee, Evgeni Varakin, head of the Staff of the Executive Committee, Gulnara Musina, head of the personnel policy. The decision on appointment will be made after discussion of the presented concepts by the members of the Expert Council.
