Several small kindergartens in Kazan will be combined to a new academic year

Classes for inclusive education and a group of compensating type will be opened in some institutions.

(KZN.RU, June 28). The network of Kazan educational institutions will undergo several changes in the new 2018/2019 academic year. Classes for inclusive education will be opened in a number of schools, special groups of the compensating kind in some kindergartens, and schools and kindergartens will be united. These changes are made by the Resolution of the Executive Committee of Kazan №3560 of June 19, 2018.

The Department of Education of the city explained that the association of educational institutions is aimed primarily at improving the quality of education. Thus, the school №73 and the evening school №34 will be combined, as well as the school №139 and the children's music school №14, which will lead to the creation of educational centers in the future. For example, the unification of the school №139 and the music school №14 will allow students to master additional general development programs designed to meet the needs of schoolchildren along with basic ones.

The joining of the music school will make it possible to approve a unified program for the development of the educational center. This will open up opportunities for professional growth and additional education for the teachers of the two institutions and will provide new types of additional educational services. Together with the administration of the unified schools, work has already been carried out to develop a roadmap for the further development of the educational center.

“The shifting schedule of students' day will not change. The list of additional educational services will increase”, was noted in the Department of Education.

The unification will affect a number of kindergartens. It will allow including in the staff of the pedagogical collective a speech therapist, a teacher-psychologist, a senior educator.

The conditions of stay for the little Kazan citizens will not change. The occupancy of groups the fee for staying in pre-school institutions will not change as well. At the same time, the pupils will have the opportunity to use the services of two previously independent kindergartens.

In addition, it is planned to open classes of inclusive education for children with autistic development disorders in a number of Kazan schools in the new school year.

An inclusive education involves the education of children with special needs in general schools. It’s based on the ideology that excludes any discrimination and creates special conditions for children with special educational needs. This implies the availability of education for all, in terms of adapting to all the needs of all students, which provides access to education for children with special needs.

Special groups of compensating type will be opened in some pre-school establishments of the city. Children who go to compensating groups do not have deviations in intellectual development, but they experience difficulties in mastering general education programs for various reasons. For example, it is preschool children with phonetic-phonemic speech impairments with preserved intellectual development capabilities or in need of special medical and recreational activities (allergic diseases, diabetes, etc.). They attend special compensatory groups in ordinary kindergartens where purposeful classes are held. The presence of trained personnel, the appropriate material and technical base, the necessary medicines and the correspondingly adjusted menu will be ensured in such groups, depending on their type.
