Unusual holiday objects, light figures and a new illumination appeared in the city.

In addition to the already existing designs and decorations familiar to the citizens, new compositions and unusual holiday objects have appeared in the capital of Tatarstan. Eduard Vafin, the deputy chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, said what kind of surprises in the decoration of the city prepared for the residents and guests of Kazan.
This year, the entrance to the city fr om the Orenburgsky Tract, the traffic circle on Parin Street are decorated. New light consoles with symbols of the city have appeared on Tikhomirnov Street and Universiade Prospect, such as the Kul-Sharif Mosque, Syuyumbike Tower, and the Bowl and the Kremlin.
“7 bridges on the Bulak canal sparkle with bright lights. An illumination appeared there depicting New Year attributes and winter symbols: mittens, snowflakes, gifts and Christmas balls”, said E. Vafin and added that the average length of light garlands is fr om 30 to 50 meters.
A new point of attraction was the composition “Cascade” at the foot of the monument to Mullanur Vakhitov. It is decorated with large light balls, the length of the structure is 25 m. Beautiful arches in the form of snowflakes delight on Pushkin Street near the Opera and Ballet Theater named after M. Jhalil and near the monument to Butlerov at the Leninsky Square. The Christmas decoration of the city is complemented by 3 compositions in the form of Christmas trees 3 m high, which are located at the intersection of streets Pushkin and Galaktionov.
Previous decoration, familiar to Kazan citizens fr om last year, have been preserved as well. Thus, traditionally, the New Year mood was created in the design of the Svobody Square. The festive illumination with light elements was restored in the Staro-Tatrskaya Sloboda on Mardzhani Street, a living fir 15 m high was installed. Light consoles appeared on supports in the form of the snowy fir in K. Nasyri Street. The light constructions “Fountain-Winter” and “Apple Tree” were restored, the console “Large and Small Monograms” on the Svobody Square, the “Paradise Apple Tree” on Ershov Street, and other elements remained.
Kazan parks and squares also greeted residents and guests of the city with new decorations. For example, the Christmas tree and light figure “Chandelier” will be installed this year in the park “Chernoe Ozero”.

The main tree and the ice town are located in front of the Family Center “Kazan”. The Fan Festival that took place this summer allowed creating the necessary infrastructure for city events. The new ice town can accommodate up to five thousand guests. Premises for warming up, ice labyrinths, interesting arched structures, appeared on the site for the first time. The largest U-shaped slide has also increased. Today its length is 120 meters and its height is 11.
The site is decorated based on Soviet-era cartoons characters. You can meet Karlsson, Umka, the bear cub, Vovka from the far kingdom, and other favorite childhood heroes. The main element of the site was a 19-meter-high New Year Tree decorated with candies, mittens and various attributes symbolizing a warm atmosphere and a family holiday. The ice town is enclosed by a light ice fence.
