Ilya Shikshin won the European Grand Prix finals in Go

16 of the best in 2018 athletes of the Old World attended the competition.

(KZN.RU, January 30). Ilya Shikshin, a student of the R. Nezhmetdinov School, an Honored Master of Sports of Russia, became the winner of the European Grand Prix finals in Go. The competition took place in the Czech Republic from 24 to 28 of January.

16 of best European athletes in 2018 from Belgium, Germany, Israel, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, France, and Russia took part in the competition. Thanks to this success, Ilya received the third professional dan of the European Go Federation.

In the tournament, Russia was also represented by Alexander Dinerstein, a graduate of the Nezhmetdinov School, Honored Master of Sports of Russia. The athlete took the 7th place, according to the website of the Ministry of Sports of the RT.
