<p> For the new winter season in Kazan, 596 special snow removal vehicles were prepared at the improvement enterprises. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin examined the readiness of equipment for operation in winter conditions during a visit to the MUE “Gorodskoe blagoustroystvo”. </p> <p> Today, all improvement companies are ready for winter maintenance of roads, the head of the city noted. “Almost 600 special vehicles have been prepared by our contractors,”-he said. “Today we have grown to 21 million square meters of road surface to be cleaned. If you look at their length, it is more than 1,900 km-the distance from Kazan to Warsaw. That is to say, after a snowfall, we must quickly clean the territory equal to the distance from our city to Poland”. </p> <p> The fleet of special equipment has been updated for the winter season. This year in Kazan, 41 KAMAZ trucks were repaired at the expense of the Republican budget for 65 million rubles, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Kazan – Chair of the land improvement committee Igor Kulyazhev told the Mayor. </p> <p> Experienced staff will operate the snow cleaning vehicles, presently more than 1.7 thousand people employed at the improvement enterprises. </p> <p> The vehicle fleet of municipal unitary enterprise “Gorodskoe blagoustroystvo” includes 138 units of equipment. The company is a general contractor for the maintenance of roads in the territory of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts. Kamil Zakirov, Director of MUE “Gorodskoe blagoustroystvo”, told the Mayor that this year the company purchased four units of equipment. </p> <p> “Seven KAMAZ trucks were repaired this year, and 17 were repaired in previous two years", – K.Zakirov said. </p> <p> I.Metshin talked to the drivers of snowplows trucks and wished them successful work in the upcoming winter. </p> <p> For information, four contractors with contractual obligations until the end of 2020 carry out the road maintenance work. </p>
