Ilsur Metshin topped the media ratings of the officials in the capitals of the Volga Federal Region in August.

Mayors of Nizhny Novgorod and Samara also entered the top-three

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, headed the media rating of the heads of the capitals of the Volga Federal Region in August 2025. The media index of the mayor according to the results of the analysis of federal and regional mass media amounted to 20,472 points.

The inspection visits of Ilsur Metshin to the construction site of the New Wave Hall concert venue for the New Wave international competition of young pop singers in Kazan were reported in the media. Kazan Mayor also took part in a press conference dedicated to the results of the festival. And together with People's Artists of the Russian Federation Igor Krutoy, Igor Matvienko and Igor Nikolaev, Mayor Ilsur Metshin presented the art object «New Wave».

At the 40th session of the Kazan City Duma of the IV convocation, Ilsur Metshin announced the start of the construction works of a subway line towards the Universiade Village and Republican Clinical Hospital in the capital of Tatarstan.

In August, the Mayor attended a ceremony to award the title of Honorary Citizen of Kazan, where he also expressed gratitude to Kazan residents for their love of their hometown and congratulated them on the occasion of the Republic Day.

The top-three of the media rating also entered the heads of Nizhny Novgorod Yuri Shalabaev and Samara Ivan Noskov.
