A comprehensive renovation of the yards on Meridiannaya, Musina and Chetaeva streets in Kazan will be completed by mid-May.

In the capital of Tatarstan, active work has begun on the implementation of the Our Yard program. This year, the territories of 482 residential buildings will be improved. By mid-May, a comprehensive renovation of the yard along Meridiannaya, Musina and Chetaeva streets will be completed in the Novo-Savinovsky district. The progress of the work was inspected today by the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin. He noted that this year the changes will affect 100 thousand residents of Kazan, who actively participate in the discussion of improvement projects.

This year, the Our Yard program started earlier than usual. Deputy head of the Executive Committee of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan Igor Kulyazhev reported the head of the city that to date the work is completed by about 12%.

The total area of the yard, where the head of the city visited today, is 30,200 square meters. The new landscaped area will soon be open for more than 1,700 residents of the nearby residential buildings.

Pavel Kamenev, resident of the house at 20 Meridiannaya St., noted that their yard was in a neglected state – there were no convenient sidewalks, asphalt concrete pavement was in poor condition, there was not enough greenery.

The yard improvement project was developed by Eduard Mukhametgareyev, who has been participating in the implementation of the republican program for the third year. He said that new playgrounds will be equipped, benches and urns will be installed, lighting and asphalt concrete pavement will be updated. The total cost of the work is 59.5 million rubles.

Traditionally, the repair of the yard area is carried out in dialogue with local residents. The first meeting was held in the autumn of 2022, when a draft of the project was presented and comments and suggestions were received. The second meeting was held this spring, the project was corrected and approved.

“The truth springs from such arguments and disputes, as well as a landscaped Kazan, - Ilsur Metshin stressed. – There are 7 houses and 1,700 residents here, and in general, the program of the Rais (Head) of the republic of Rustam Minnikhanov covers the territories of 482 houses, changes will affect 100 thousand residents of Kazan. And they are active everywhere. In discussions and heated exchanges, there is a desire to see a yard the most comfortable, well-maintained and cozy. In addition, the property management company “Yutny Dom” will equip sports grounds, repair entrance groups and landscape the territory.

“We usually try to complete the work by the City Day. But you have managed to complete the woks on May 15. It will definitely please residents and their children,”- Ilsur Metshin noted.

In just three years, under the Our Yard program, the territories of 1,356 houses were landscaped. Improvements affected more than 300 thousand residents. This year, 2.8 billion rubles were provided for landscaping. To date, landscaping work is underway at 131 yards.
