Ilsur Metshin “A new addition to our collection of youth clubs - a scout center”

The headquarters of the republican center “Scouts of Tatarstan” will open in Kazan

A renovation of the building for the new Compass Youth Club, which will house the Republican Scout Center, is underway in the Sovetsky city district.

“In 10 years, we have renovated 80% of our youth clubs. A new addition to our collection of youth clubs is a scout center. This marks a return to our pioneer traditions of going on hikes, and this activity is becoming more relevant again. I am happy that children and young people will now have the opportunity to learn safety rules,”- Ilsur Metshin said.
Presently, the scouts study at one of the facilities of the Zarechye Center for Additional Education.

The scout center will teach them tourists skills such as carpentry, they will learn how to tie knots and cook simple meals and then practice these skills on hikes. The club also hosts workshops, training sessions, and lectures on topics ranging from public speaking to applied arts. The club is equipped with creative and technical workshops available.

The renovation is planned to be completed by August 1.
