The eighth architecture and construction conference “Dialogues” has begun in Kazan with participation of more than 80 speakers
The eighth architectural and construction conference “Dialogues” has started at the Government Offices of the Kazan Kremlin. The main themes of the conference are art in cities, information technology, and artificial intelligence in design and spatial planning. Over 1,500 people have registered for the event, as well as more than 80 speakers, including Portuguese architect Joe Palma, who specializes in high-rise buildings. The participants were welcomed by Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.
“Developers are no longer selling square meters, they are selling a way of life. They are discussing what to offer for Kazan residents other than comfortable, safe, and beautiful housing. We have been waiting for a long time for this, coming from different cities and admiring masterpieces in magazines and on the internet. I asked when this would finally happen. It's right that we are addressing this issue on a larger scale. Today, we invited the best experts in the region. I hope this is just the beginning,”- said Ilsur Metshin.
The head of the city reminded that after the 1,000th anniversary of Kazan, which was celebrated in 2005, every fifth roof in the city was leaking. At that time, attention was not given to the creation of public art and spaces.
According to him, today it is necessary to pay attention to the development of areas along Portovaya Street and the territory near “Riviera”, as well as new residential complexes in the city. Not only experienced architects can help improve the city's appearance, but also young urban planners whose training requires qualified teachers.
Ilsiyar Tukhvatullina believes that the creation of creative spaces can contribute to the city's economic development. “Developers think they will have to spend money, but in fact, these spaces boost the city's economy by attracting tourists and professionals in this field”- she explained.
Ilsiyar Tukhvatullina proposed the creation of a world-class museum and exhibition space in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan. She encouraged everyone to participate and get to know each other better. She hoped that these dialogues would lead to the development of the city and the creation of a more comfortable environment for everyone.
The architectural and construction conference “Dialogues” will last until August 24.
