Ilsur Metshin inspects the progress of repair of Kulakhmetova Street

<p> A part of Kulakhmetova Street in the Moskovsky district of Kazan with a length of 1.3 km is being repaired under the Safe Quality Roads national project. At the moment, the work has been completed by 25%, it is planned to complete the repair in a month. </p> <p> In Kazan, 47 parts of streets will be repaired in the upcoming construction season. Of these, 12 parts will be repaired under the Safe Quality Roads national project: work will take place on Leningradskaya St., Przhevalskogo St., Veresaeva St., Udarnaya St., Kamchatskaya St., Aidarova St., Adoratskogo St., Gorodskaya St. and Mira St. in the residential area of Samosyrovo and others. Work has already begun on five streets. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the progress of repair on Kulakhmetova Street today. </p> <p> On a 1.3 km part of the street, the roadbed will be updated, pedestrian sidewalks will be expanded and new bus shelters will be equipped, Deputy head of the Executive Committee Igor Kulyazhev reported to the Mayor. The total area of the repaired sidewalks will be 6,800 sq.m. It is planned to replace the road side stone with a length of 3,300 meters and the sidewalk side stone with a length of 2,700 meters. Six new bus shelters will be installed, bus bays will be equipped on a total area of 1,200 square meters. </p> <p> Today, the workers have already completed milling of the roadbed, partially laid the leveling layer of asphalt concrete pavement and replaced the road side stone. The laying of asphalt on sidewalks and paving stones is underway. After the road works, the landscaping of the adjacent territory will begin. </p> <p> “Extensive repair work has begun on roads throughout Kazan. They are carried out under the Our Yard program initiated by the Rais (Head) of the republic, under the Safe Quality Roads federal program, as well as under other programs. “In total, we will carry out repairs on 47 parts of streets in all districts,”- Ilsur Metshin said. He also reminded that major infrastructure projects will allow to improve the transport situation in the city. This year, the first stage of work on the Voznesensky Tract will be completed on the part from Gvardeyskaya Street to Pobedy Avenue, a bridge over Kaban Lake near Vakhitov Square will be opened. </p> <p> “The weather is good and allows us to carry out works, so we can please the citizens with new roads both in the yards and on the main highways,”- Ilsur Metshin said. </p> <p> Sergey Mironov, the head of the administration of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts of Kazan, Stanislav Shevyrev, a representative of the contracting organization, and others also took part in the visiting meeting. </p>
