Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, discussed the repair of the House of Zheleznodorozhnikov, improvement of public areas, as well as the construction of a covered ice rink and a sports complex yesterday at an on-site meeting in Yudino. This year, the settlement, which is home to more than 20 thousand people, celebrates its centennial anniversary. </p> <p> </p> <p> The meeting began at the House of Zheleznodorozhnikov. The need to upgrade the palace of culture, which is already more than 90 years old, came up during the Mayor's visit to the housing estate in late 2017. Then the idea arose that the renovated palace of culture will become one of the grounds for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Yudino. At the beginning of this year, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, instructed the Government of the Republic to prepare a comprehensive capital repair program for a number of cultural facilities in Kazan, including the House of Zheleznodorozhnikov. The House of Zheleznodorozhnikov is one of the symbols of the village and a landmark for the inhabitants of Yudino facilities. They are waiting for the reconstruction of it with great impatience. Sergey Mironov, the head of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’ administration, noted that, according to the wishes of the villagers, it is expected not only to leave existing occupations but also to open new directions for the residents. </p> <p> </p> <p> Participants of the meeting discussed the nuances that must be taken into account when carrying out the reconstruction of the House of Zheleznodorozhnikov, as well as proposals for the improvement of the square in front of it. Then the participants of the meeting went to the Alley of Glory, where the memorial complex dedicated to the participants of the Great Patriotic War is located. Note that the Alley of Glory is also planned to be updated in the year of the anniversary of the settlement. </p> <p> </p> <p> The next object was the stadium “Lokomotiv”, located in the pine forest. It is a sports object, important for the residents of the village, built by Russian Railways in 1957. This year, it is planned to begin the reconstruction of the stadium, during which the capital repairs of the sports and recreation complex will be made, the premises with wax cabins, track and field tracks, ski-roller track, etc. would be built. In 2015, the “Lokomotiv” was transferred to operative management of the Children and Youth Sports School on skiing in Kazan, where 560 children and teenagers are engaged. This year, the construction of a football field will begin at the stadium within the framework of the federal target program “Development of Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation for 2016-2020”. </p> <p> </p> <p> At the end of the meeting, several options for placing a covered ice rink were considered. The construction of a new sports facility is one of the initiatives for the integrated development of Yudino. It was sounded at the meeting of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, in March this year with residents of the housing estate and employees of the units of the Kazan Territorial Administration of the Gorky Railways, a branch of the OAO “Russian Railways”. </p> <p> </p> <p> The head of the city instructed to pay special attention to the improvement of the village and try to complete the maximum of the works to the memorable date. </p> <p> </p> <p> Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committee, the deputy heads of the Executive Committee Iskander Giniyatullin and Igor Kulyazhev, Natalia Fishman, an assistant to the President of the RT, Sergey Mironov, the head of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’ administration, Tatiana Prokofieva, the chief architect of Kazan, Daria Tolovenkova, the deputy chief architect of the city, and others attended the meeting. </p>
