Ilsur Metshin inspected the overhaul of the women's consultation at the polyclinic №20

The Mayor of Kazan instructed the contractors to complete the work by December 1.

(KZN.RU, August 17, Alsu Safina). The overhaul of polyclinics continues in Kazan. The works are carried out now in the women's consultation at the city polyclinic №20. It serves almost 60000 female residents of the Sovetsky district. The women's consultation did not stop work for a day despite the works. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, got acquainted with the course of works. He talked with future mothers who came for an appointment, learned what changes the institution would undergo, and instructed the contractors to carry out all the work and complete them by December 1.

The women's consultation is part of the city polyclinic №20. The main building of the polyclinic is located on Sakharov Street, №23, and one of the branches is at Lomzhinskaya Street, №5. Therapists and specialists are receiving patients there. Last year, major repairs were carried out in these buildings with the standards of the “Friendly Polyclinic”.

This year, major repairs are carried out in the women's consultation, which is located on the first floor of a residential building at Bigichev, №13a, since 2004 and covers an area of 877 square meters. 18 million rubles allocated for repairs. It is planned to replace the windows, the power supply system, repair the ventilation system, and conduct general construction work. Ravil Gilmanov, the head doctor of the city polyclinic №20, said that the redevelopment will be carried out, there will be a registry and a recreation area in the lobby, the rooms for patients' admission will be expanded. The contractor is the OOO “RSS Engineering”, the subcontractor is the OOO “LestaStroy”, a design organization is the OOO “Soyuz Story Project”.

The long-awaited repair began in June. Despite the large-scale work, the women's consultation continues to work, Irina Volokhova, the head of the consultation, told the Mayor.

The women's consultation is designed for 135 scheduled visits per shift. For today, doctors of the women's consultation are service more than 57.7 thousand women in the city. The total served area is 30 square kilometers. The average number of female population in one sector is 4800. According to the head of the city, the patients had 1700 births last year.

The head of the city talked with some patients, future mothers. They told that they were pleased with the overhaul. “We came to see how the repairs are going. It all will be ready for your second and third children”, the head of the city assured them and wished them to give birth to healthy babies.

Ilsur Metshin drew attention to the fact that there were women's consultations in Kazan that demanded major repairs even more. The head of the city thanked Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of RT, who decided to update outpatient facilities in Kazan. “We didn’t even believe that such a volume of work could be done. But it's as good as done. This year we will finish the program”, noted the Mayor. He also instructed the contractors to perform major repairs in a quality manner and complete all work by December 1.

Rustem Gafarov, the head of the Sovetsky district’s administration, Ilnur Khalfiev, the head of the Health Department of the Ministry of Health of the RT of Kazan, and others also attended the event.

For two years, 52 primary care facilities in 16 adult clinics (32 objects) and 9 children's polyclinics (20 objects) of the city will be overhauled in Kazan.
