The great Victory unites people of our multinational city of Kazan, it is a great victory for all. This holiday is of a special importance for me, as one of my grandfathers died during the war and the other one died from wounds after returning home. This memory lives on in every family and we honor and remember their great exploit. Thanks to everyone who helped forge the Victory, including those who worked in the rear. A hardy and weather-resistant variety of Makovetsky apples was chosen for the planting. All 80 trees were a gift from the SMU-88 group of companies to the city in celebration of the anniversary. “We deliberately chose apple trees for planting, because these trees bloom very beautifully, bright pink. May is ahead, just at this time the trees will begin to bloom,”- said Roza Zabbarova, head of the Gorvodzelenkhoz enterprise. The “Garden of Memory” campaign has been held since 2020 and has become a good tradition. Its goal is to perpetuate the exploits of the defenders of the Homeland by planting a tree in memory of each of the 27 million who died during the Great Patriotic War. The project is being implemented on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who planted a memorial tree at the Rzhevsky Memorial in 2020.
