Ilsur Metshin congratulates the winners of the “Teacher of the Year” contest

The teacher of the year in Kazan has become Ilsur Ziganshin, social studies teacher at the boarding school 2 of the Moskovsky district.

Today, the results of the “Teacher of the Year 2022” professional skills contest have been summed up at the Kazan City Hall. Four hundred teachers took part in the contest. According to the results, the winner has become Ilsur Ziganshin, social studies teacher at the boarding school No.2 of the Moskovsky district, who will represent the city at the republican contest. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin congratulated the winners and prizewinners.

“Today, I am pleased to welcome the winners and prizewinners of the “Teacher of the Year” contest, - Ilsur Metshin addressed the participants. - The urge to study of the new, the cognition of the world is inherent by nature. During school years, teachers support children in their endeavors, reinvigorate and develop their cognitive interest, help them learn new and unknown”.

“Teacher of the Year is the major pedagogical skills contest, every participant can prove that the competition is fateful and unforgettable”, - Ilsur Metshin said. He thanked the teachers for their work.

The city stage of the contest was held in Kazan from December 2021 to February 2022. Over 400 teachers submitted applications, 35% of the contestants were men, 65% were women. Ninety-eight teachers from 71 schools entered the city stage, of which 34 teachers became winners, prizewinners and laureates.

For three months, the contestants demonstrated their professional skills in eight nominations.

The nomination “I give my heart to children” among teachers of supplementary education was won by Vitaly Frolov from the Children's Creativity Center “Children's Academy” of the Sovetsky district.

Among the teachers of the Tatar language and literature, the first place took Zilya Gabdinova from school No. 116 of the Vakhitovsky district.

Also among the awardees were homeroom teachers. They showed their skills in the nomination “Bringing up a person”. The winner was Olga Konstantinova from school No. 146 “Resource” of the Novo-Savinovsky district.

Anastasia Pavlikova from a kindergarten No. 14 of the Aviastroitelny district became the best in the nomination “Teacher-psychologist”.

Maxim Kalyazin, a teacher of school No. 182 of the Kirovsky district, won in the nomination “Principles of personal and social safety”.

Novice teachers demonstrated their teaching skills in the contest as well. They fought for the victory in the nomination “Pedagogical debut”. Kamil Abdulvakhobov, a mathematics teacher at school No. 49 in the Novo-Savinovsky district, won the first place.

Teachers of preschool educational institutions also took part in the competition. The best teacher has become the speech therapist of the child development center - kindergarten No. 397 of the Novo–Savinovsky district, Renata Khabibullina.

The winner in the category “Subject Teacher” will represent Kazan at the republican stage of the competition. The social studies teacher of the boarding school No.2 of the Moskovsky district Ilsur Ziganshin has become a winner.

“I sincerely love my profession, participation in the contest was my initiative, I wanted to try myself, grow professionally, my colleagues and students supported me in this. Now I dream on winning another award – “Crystal Pelican” and to defend the honor of the city and republic”, - Ilsur Ziganshin said.
