<p> By the new school year, the school No.360 on Adoratsky Street, 8a in the Novo-Savinovsky district of Kazan was renovated. Upon completion, the facility became modern and comfortable: a new gym was equipped here, furniture and equipment were completely updated, and a stage for events was built. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the results of the renovation. </p> <p> The two-storey building of the school with an area of 2,600 square meters have never been overhauled for 40 years. According to the school principal Liana Sopromadze, the facade of the building were cracked, the roof leaked, the basement was in a disrepair. In addition, the swimming pool has not worked for the last 6 years. </p> <p> The renovation started on June 1 2022. During the landscaping of the adjacent territory, new asphalt was laid, canopies were installed and a stage was equipped. It is also planned to install small architectural forms, equip a sports ground for volleyball and basketball, and improve a park area. </p> <p> Ilsur Metshin visited the site medical facility, the classroom, the canteen, the gym and assembly hall, the art studio, the recreation room of the kindergarten group, talked with teachers and children. The Mayor of the city also looked around the new gym, where a swimming pool was previously located. Now there are locker rooms, showers and a gym for elementary school students. The food hall and a canteen were updated, in particular, refrigerators, stoves and other cooking equipment were changed. </p> <p> During the renovation, which was completed by the beginning of the school year, preschoolers were relocated to five nearby educational institutions, and in September, they returned to the renovated school. Today, the school comprises four classes and eight groups of preschoolers, three of which are compensatory for children with speech disorders. </p> <p> Today, 76,300 children attend kindergartens in Kazan, including 9,800 aged from 1 to 3 years. The preschool education program is available at 326 educational institutions: 312 kindergartens, 11 schools with preschool departments, 2 progymnasiums and a Center for Therapeutic Pedagogy. </p> <p> Together with the Mayor of Kazan, the head of the administration of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts Fanis Nurmukhametov, Director of the Department for the Maintenance of Social Institutions of Kazan Pyotr Korolyov and others visited the gymnasium. </p>
