The work in Kazan has been going on for years in many areas mentioned in the Address of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly, and the support of the federal center will make it even more efficient. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, said this today at the Business Monday. </p> <p> </p> <p> “We always look forward to the new address of the President, and this time our expectations were met. A lot of attention was paid to social policy, what we face daily in our life and what citizens face. It is important that for many years, we systematically deal with the issues that are voiced at the level of the head of the country and put as priorities. We are not catching up, we are not hitting each other, but for many years we work systematically in each of these areas. The support of the federal center will only strengthen our work and improve the effect”, noted Ilsur Metshin. Vladimir Putin delivered an annual address to the Federal Assembly last week, outlining main areas of the country's development for the near future. </p> <p> </p> <p> The President devoted 80% of the address to the development of the social unit, noted the head of the city. He reminded that V. Putin raised questions of demography, payment of allowances, tax relief for large families, mortgage vacations for people in difficult situations, and many other areas of support for the population. </p> <p> </p> <p> “We are waiting for tasks to be set for the country, and most importantly - what priorities in a particular area will be announced and where funds will be allocated. That was a few years ago when we first heard about the pre-school education program. The result was the allocation of funds. And only this year, we are building 10 kindergartens under the federal program, and before that, a lot was built as well. A long-awaited federal school construction program has happened, and we are participating in it with might and main”, said I. Metshin. </p> <p> </p> <p> Kazan and Tatarstan are in the forefront on many issues. As one of the directions in which Kazan is ahead of other cities, the Mayor gave an example of the treatment of municipal solid waste. Today, when all these questions are put at the federal level and many regions and cities are just starting to work on them, Kazan has already come a long way. Thus, the municipal waste management scheme in Kazan was developed back in 2007. Last year, the technical stage of the reclamation of the Samosyrovskaya landfill ended, the construction of the second map of the municipal landfill on Khimicheskaya Street was completed. </p> <p> </p> <p> “This is the ability to anticipate and correctly predict events. Thanks to Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic, and our Government for supporting us in this difficult issue. The next stage of work is garbage separation and management at a completely different level. We march ahead”, said I. Metshin. </p> <p> </p> <p> “All decisions voiced by the President of Russia in the address are verified and calculated, which means they will be executed. Therefore, we noted important points, too, which we must work on and which we can strengthen thanks to federal funds”, concluded the Mayor. </p>
