I. Metshin: “The victory of Kazan in the Spartakiad of municipal employees is a good example for citizens”

The Mayor of Kazan congratulated the employees of the Executive Committee who took prizes in the competitions in ski racing.

Today at the Business Monday, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, congratulated the team of the Executive Committee of the city on the victory at the start of the Games of the municipal employees of the RT. “This is a good example for citizens who are involved in sports”, he said.

The Winter Spartakiad of municipal employees of the RT has started at the weekend in Zainsk. The Kazan Executive Committee team took the first place in ski racing competitions. Thus, the winner in the individual championship among men was Marat Salakhov, the head of the Department of Affairs, and among women, it was Dinara Nasibullina, the main specialist of the Committee of Physical Culture and Sport. The second place among men was taken by Irek Mukhametshin, the head of the Financial Department.

The Spartakiad will not end there. There are still many competitions in various sports, noted I. Metshin. “Such a good start, but there is another struggle ahead, and we will continue to achieve good results. But the main thing is an example that you are giving to the citizens. We rejoice at the growing number of Kazan citizens who choose a healthy lifestyle and do sports. Today, more than 45% of the city’s population are regularly engaged in sports”, said the Mayor. He congratulated the winners of the sports and athletics competitions.
