<p> This year’s program of renovation of residential buildings has been completed in Kazan by a third. Work is planned on 180 sites, including house at 2 Vosmogo Marta Street in the Sovetsky city district, where overhaul is being carried out for the first time since construction. The roadway is being repaired next to it at the same time. The 1.2 km long section of the Sibirsky Tract is being repaired under the federal project “Safe high-quality Roads”. Today, the Mayor of the city inspected the progress of the work and met with local residents. </p> <p> “This year we will repair 180 houses, so 40 thousand Kazan residents will see the improvements. Near Vosmogo Marta Street, work is simultaneously underway on the roadway along Sibirsky Tract. This is 1,200 meters of the main highway, which is important not only for the district, but also for the entire Kazan,”- Ilsur Metshin said. </p> <p> The head of the city added that 40 sections of roads will be overhauled in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan this year, while the construction of the Voznesensky Tract and the Gorkovskoye Highway backup road continues. “Despite the fact that a lot of work is underway to prepare and hold the BRICS Games and the BRICS summit, we are implementing all programs related to urban economy, housing, courtyards. The life of Kazan residents does not go by the wayside,”- the Mayor stressed. </p> <p> The renovation at 2 Vosmogo Marta Street is being carried out for the first time. Previously, only maintenance work was carried out at the building: energy-saving lamps were installed, electrical equipment was updated in apartments, etc. </p> <p> According to Vasily Lysachkin, chairman of the Housing and Utilities Services Committee, in order to find out the requests of about 200 residents of the house, meetings were held with them before the start of the work. The team started work in early May. The task has been set to comprehensively update the facility: sewerage, roof, facade, etc. Thus, work on cold water supply, electricity supply and sanitation networks has been almost completed. The readiness of the whole house is 57%. PAK Group LLC acted as the contractor, up to 14 workers and three special vehicles were involved in the facility. </p> <p> Under the federal project “Safe high-quality roads”, a section of Sibirsky Tract with a length of 1.2 km is being repaired. At the moment, the work has been completed by 80%, they will be completed by September. The overhaul is carried out only at night, which made it possible not to impose traffic restrictions and not to disrupt the operation of public transport, said Igor Kulyazhev, deputy head of the Executive Committee of the city. </p> <p> Work is underway on the area of the roadway of 33,400 square meters. The project provides for the expansion from two to three lanes at the intersections of Sibirsky Tract with Popova and Vosmogo Marta streets. Today, the worn asphalt concrete pavement has been milled and a new one has been laid, road and sidewalk side stones have been replaced. </p> <p> The sidewalks and the top layer of the coating will be laid shortly. It is planned to upgrade three bus shelters on the section of the road under repair, install 74 road signs and apply road surface markings. </p>
