Today, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, instructed to include the yard of houses №7 and 7a on Karim Tinchurin Street in the improvement and landscaping program at the request of residents. Now a major overhaul is in full swing in these houses, the works have been completed by 50%. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, assessed the results of work in the houses. </p> <p> Five-storey four-apartment residential buildings of Karim Tinchurin Street, №7 and №7a, were built in 1963. In 2019, they were included in the overhaul program. According to Dmitry Anisimov, the chairman of the Housing and Communal Services Committee, it is planned to replace central heating systems, cold and hot water supply, sewage systems, roofing, facade, install a weather control unit and upgrade power supply systems. Currently, the volume of work performed at the house №7 in Karim Tinchurin Street is finished by 50%, and at the house №7a by 55%. The works are planned to be completed by November 20 of this year. </p> <p> “We are very grateful to you for the long-awaited overhaul, but we want to ask you to equip our yard so that the children can play there”, said Farida Gataullina, one of the residents. The yard, formed by houses № 7, 7а and 9 in Karim Tinchurin Street and № 70, 72 in Tatarstan Street, is in poor condition. Now there are only a sandbox, swing, a few benches. </p> <p> Ilsur Metshin noted that there are hundreds of thousands of houses in Russia which repairs have not yet reached and will not reach in the next 10 years. And in Kazan, 2717 houses have already been repaired over the past 11 years. This year they will complete work in 234 more houses. “According to this indicator, only Moscow is ahead of us. For 2019, thanks to the program supported by the President of the RT, we have the money to make an overhaul of these two houses. Next year, I promise you that we will do a major overhaul of the yard, we will install a playground and containers for garbage collection. We will make men have a place where they can play dominoes, where your children and grandchildren can play and meet”, the Mayor told residents. </p> <p> It is important to note that discussions on the improvement of public spaces have become traditional in Kazan. According to Ilsur Metshin, residents will be invited for discussion when the project is prepared. “Of course, it rarely happens when all 100% of residents agree with the project. But it would be pleasant if most of you rate it positively. What the yard would be like depends on your demands and activity. Be the masters of both your yard and your house”, the Mayor urged the citizens. </p> <p> Residents of the house on Karim Tinchurin Street, №7a, turned to the head of the city for help in solving another pressing issue. Ildus Mukhametshin, one of the residents, said that a marsh appeared behind the house, due to which he and his neighbors have to endure mosquitoes and a year-round unpleasant smell. “The water goes down in the Volga and rises here. When there was a lot of water in the river, we had a small puddle, which was drying out by the end of May, and now it is growing more and more. We used to have a park, fountains, carousels at that place, and now everything is flooded”, he noted sadly. There are also two wells of the “Vodokanal” in this area. Andrei Lobov, the head of Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky district’s administration of Kazan, also took part in the meeting. He said that the cause will be determined and the problem of flooding and unpleasant smell will be eliminated. </p> <p> In 2019, it is planned to overhaul 234 apartment buildings and 296 yards in Kazan. Residents of Kazan can find the full list of apartment houses, yards, city and settlement streets, educational institutions, teen clubs, which will be repaired this year, on the portal KZN.RU in the section “Overhaul”. </p> <p> Iskander Giniyatullin, the deputy head of the Executive Committee, and Marat Usmanov, the prefect of the territory “Stary Gorod”, also took part in the inspection. </p>
