Ilsur Metshin inspects the results of the renovation of the residential building on 77 Kachalova Street

The work is underway in the last five houses included into the 2022 program.

The capital of Tatarstan is completing the renovation program of the housing stock this year. Now, the works are being completed in the last five residential buildings out of 160. Today, the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin has inspected the results of renovation on 77 Kachalova Street and informed residents that their yard will be landscaped under the republican program next year.

The Mayor informed that 160 residential buildings were overhauled in Kazan this year. In total, 180 thousand residents noticed the improvements, including 45 residents of the house on Kachalova Street. “For us, there are no small or large houses, important or unimportant yards. All residents are equal for us,”- Ilsur Metshin said. “Next year we will implement the Our yard program here”, – the Mayor addressed to the house community leader Marsel Bogoutdinov.

The four-storey building was built in 1944 and has an area of more than 1,400 square meters. In 2004, utilities were updated here, but the building was overhauled only this year. The work started in July and was completed in September. During this time, workers repaired the roof, basement, front, hot and cold water supply, sewerage, heating, and electricity supply systems. In addition, as part of the maintenance, the property management company repaired the entrances. Iskander Giniyatullin, the Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the city, explained that the property management companies are instructed to renovate entrances of houses that have been overhauled in recent years as part of the current maintenance.

Ilsur Metshin inspected the yard, looked around the entrances of the house and went up to the attic. “During the war years, the country thought about the need for housing. They focused not only on the front and Victory, but built new housing of a good quality. The beams are still as new. After the overhaul, the house will stand for another 80 years,”- the Mayor said.

For reference, this year 2.4 billion rubles were allocated for the overhaul of residential buildings in Kazan. The program involves the replacement of 129 elevators in 44 houses and 53 roofs. Fronts have been updated in 53 houses, while heating systems have been repaired in 75 buildings. Fire protection has been replaced at two buildings. Funds for capital repairs are allocated from the republican and municipal budgets.
