Ilsur Metshin on the Star Ticket Award: “We want to invite young writers from the BRICS countries”

<p> “Aksyonov-fest and the Good Wave gala concert with Russian pop stars and producer Igor Krutoy became the main cultural events of the past week. Their results were summed up by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin at a staff meeting. He said that Kazan will continue to support the Good Wave festival, and young writers from BRICS countries will be invited to participate in the Star Ticket Award, which takes place during the Aksyonov-Fest. </p> <p> From September 20 to 22, the 16^th Aksyonov-Fes took place in Kazan, the culmination of which was the presentation of the Star Ticket Award. </p> <p> “Vasily Aksyonov laid this tradition to gather noble writers and poets, as well as beginners, and discover new names to readers. There is a desire to expand the borders next year, we have already discussed beforehand that we want to invite young writers from the BRICS countries,”- the Mayor said. </p> <p> This year, the winners are Anna Korolyova, Yekaterina Zlatorunskaya and Sergey Skuratovsky – they were recognized as the best in the categories music, prose and poetry. </p> <p> “The Good Wave festival turned out to be really kind and emotional. The geography and quality of the events are growing. This year, qualifying festivals were held in eight cities of Russia, in which 1,500 children participated. In just five years, 7,500 children participated in festival, as well as a number of jury, coaches and organizers,”- Ilsur Metshin continued. </p> <p> The gala concert of the Good Wave festival took place in the Pyramid concert hall on September 21. The finalists of the competition together with the Russian pop stars performed there. </p>
