Ilsur Metshin on the Presidential Address: “We have heard what we have been waiting for these years”

Investments in social infrastructure and utilities are crucial for the city

Today, in Moscow's Gostiny Dvor, President Vladimir Putin delivered his address to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The ceremony was attended by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. The head of the city called the address comprehensive, noting that it touched upon important issues for regions and cities – investments in social infrastructure and utilities, construction and major repairs of roads, educational institutions.

“The address is truly comprehensive. We have heard what we have been waiting for these years – about investments in social infrastructure, namely the construction and renovation of kindergartens, schools and other institutions. An equally important issue for us is the municipal infrastructure, as well as infrastructure loans, and the continuation of the construction of not only municipal but also village roads. The address said what we dreamed of hearing,”- Ilsur Metshin commented on the President's Address.

In his speech, the President outlined a number of strategic objectives for the long-term development of the country and instructed all authorities to continue to support the families of participants in the special military operation.

Vladimir Putin also announced the launch of five new national projects: “Family”, “Long and active life”, “Data Economy”, “Youth of Russia”, “Personnel”.

For example, 150 schools and 100 kindergartens will be built in the country in the coming years. In addition, starting next year, the authorities will allocate more than 400 billion rubles for the renovation program of kindergartens and schools.

In the next six years, more than 1 trillion rubles will be additionally allocated for the construction, renovation and equipping of healthcare facilities. Every year, 350 sports complexes are planned to be built across the country, 65 billion rubles will be allocated for this. The Russian President also said that by 2030, a total of 4.5 trillion rubles will be allocated for the modernization of housing and utilities services.
