<p> Today, Ilsur Metshin awarded scholarships of the Mayor of Kazan for the results of 2022 at the City Hall. Students of children's music, art, choreography, sports schools, students and postgraduates received awards for various achievements. In total, 300 applications were submitted for the competition and about 90 young talents received scholarships. </p> <p> Thirty students of supplementary education schools and ten students of sports schools will receive scholarships for 25 thousand rubles, a sports team for 150 thousand rubles. Sixteen graduate students received scholarships for 50 thousand rubles, 20 university students for 35 thousand rubles, 2 students of professional educational organizations will receive 30 thousand rubles each. </p> <p> “No doubt that you are scientific, creative and sports future of Kazan, - the Mayor addressed the fellows. - Despite your young age, you have already achieved great results in different areas, and have made a vivid claim to your uniqueness. Today we live in a dynamically developing world that poses new challenges to us every day. Our future depends on you, what our city, republic and our entire country will be like.” </p> <p> The year of 2022 was declared the Year of Digitalization in Tatarstan, many participants of the competition chose IT technologies, - the head of the city drew attention. “We fully support such intention and create all the necessary conditions for the development of your initiatives and the implementation of new ideas, opening new modern sites, such as the IT Park, and holding various events. In 2024, Kazan is preparing to host the first high–tech Games of Future, which combine sports and cyber disciplines,”- the Mayor reminded. </p> <p> In addition to the IT sphere, students and postgraduates presented ideas in other industries and areas - transport, housing, education, medicine, architecture and landscaping. I.Metshin expressed hope that many projects would be implemented and would serve for the benefit of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan. </p> <p> “Scholarships are awarded not only for scientific achievements – the competition has wider boundaries. There are students in this hall who are faster, higher and stronger than others are and worthily represent Kazan at international and national sports competitions. Our young students show their creative talents – these are our stars, who conquer the hearts of the audience with their musical and artistic skills,”- the head of the city said. </p> <p> Ilsur Metshin expressed special words of gratitude to the teachers and coaches of the students, rectors of universities, school principals, as well as parents of young talents for their support, love and care. In conclusion, the head of the city wished happiness, prosperity and new achievements in the upcoming 2023. </p> <p> For reference, the competition for scholarships of the Mayor of Kazan has been held since 1994 to attract students to research activities in urban economy, social sphere and youth policy of the city. </p>
