The mayor of Kazan encouraged the citizens to come to the polling stations and vote for candidates for the office of the Russian president
Russia will be holding presidential elections this week. They will last three days – from 15 to 17 March. Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan, encouraged the citizens to show their civic position and come to the polling stations.
“An extremely important week is beginning. Presidential elections will be held from Friday to Sunday, which will regulate the next six years. We all have to make our choice: which future do we want for our country? The voting will for the first time take place in such a challenging foreign policy situation. But this is an internal affair for the residents of the country,” Ilsur Metshin said today at the business Monday meeting.
“We, members of the United Russia party, support the candidacy of the current president Vladimir Putin, as we see him as a guarantor of stability and sustainable development of the country. The President summarised his programme goals and objectives comprehensively in his message. He pointed out independence in external policy and the social course of domestic policy aimed at enhancing the quality of life of people of all ages, supporting the youth and older citizens, strengthening high-tech manufacture, and developing infrastructure,” the mayor noted.
