Ilsur Metshin: “We have finally solved the issue of long construction by the Svei company”

The last long-delayed construction site has been commissioned in Kazan.

In Kazan, a 19-storey building for 144 apartments was commissioned on Zaslonova Street. This is the last building of 30 long-delayed construction facilities of the second wave of deceived shareholders in 2015. The long-delayed construction by the Svei company was completed by the Briz company. The completion of the construction was a long-awaited event for 61 housing equity holders. “We have finally solved the issue of long construction by the Svei company. We hope that there will be no defrauded homebuyers in Kazan anymore”, - Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan, said during his visit to the house.

It was planned to complete the construction of the 19-storey building in 2015. However, the construction of the house stopped due to the bankruptcy of the developer -Svei company.

Construction resumed in 2020. Despite the fact that another developer continued the work, before commissioning the house remained in the Unified State Register of Delayed Construction.

“We have already said earlier that we have managed all the issues with the equity holders of the Svei company. We requested the exclusion of the facility from the Register of Delayed Construction, but we were denied until the completion of the construction”, - explained Azat Nigmatzyanov, deputy head of the Executive Committee. Thus, the long-delayed building on Zaslonova Street became officially the last house of 30 delayed buildings of the second wave of defrauded equity holders in 2015.

After the inspection of the house, the Mayor discussed with the developer the prospects for the development of the district. It is planned to build a new road here, which will connect Zaslonova Street with Universiade Avenue.

“We are also considering the possibility of construction a kindergarten here. There is a high demand in this micro-district”, - Andrey Belyakov, director of the Briz Group of Companies, shared his plans with the Mayor.

“The design and construction of roads to be included into the plan. A kindergarten is definitely needed – we receive many appeals from residents of houses along Vishnevsky st., Zaslonova st., Yeniki st. - I.Metshin said. - Preschool institutions need to be built along with the construction of residential complexes so that people moving into new apartments do not face the problem of the lack of kindergartens”.

House on Zaslonova Street is the eighth delayed construction facility commissioned in 2021.

For reference, the second wave of defrauded housing equity holders began at the end of 2015. There were 30 houses in Tatarstan, which were included in the Unified State Register of Delayed Construction. To date, construction of all delayed buildings is completed.
