Ilsur Metshin was elected Head of the Kazan city municipality

The decision was made at the first session of Kazan City Duma of the fourth convocation.

Today, at the first session of the Kazan City Duma of the fourth convocation, which is being held at the City Hall, Ilsur Metshin was elected Head of the municipality of Kazan, the Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan. He thanked the deputies for their trust.

The decision to nominate Ilsur Metshin for the post of head of the municipality of Kazan, the Mayor of the city, was proposed by the All-Russian party “United Russia”.

During the break at the meeting, the deputies of Kazan City Duma took part in the secret voting.

“Therefore, Ilsur Raisovich Metshin was elected Head of the Kazan municipality and the Mayor of Kazan by a majority of votes,”- announced Lilia Bakulina, Chair of the counting commission. This was followed by the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected Mayor of the city.

Ilsur Metshin took the oath of the Mayor of Kazan, after which he was awarded the official symbol of the head of the capital of Tatarstan.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the head of the city on his election.
