Ilsur Metshin: “Let's prepare our Kazan for the May holidays!”

<p> (KZN.RU, April 15, Ksenia Shvetsova). At the end of the current week, a citywide subbotnik will take place in Kazan. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, urged citizens to join the subbotnik and prepare the capital of Tatarstan for the May holidays at the Business Monday. </p> <p> From the beginning of April, the spring two-month period for cleaning and beautification of the city started in Kazan, it will last until May 31. During this time, everyone will be able to take part in actions to clean parks, squares, yards, and other public spaces, and join the citywide subbotnik on Saturday. </p> <p> “I address our respected residents. Let's start to clean up the city, we will spend a subbotnik, a cleaning of the city after the winter. It is a lot of work. Let's prepare our Kazan for the May holidays!” I. Metshin addressed the residents of the city. </p> <p> Everyone can create initiative groups and clean up the yard or another part of the city at any time. You can contact the district administrations, housing management companies and the Committee for External Improvement for all organizational matters relating to the receipt of inventory, bags and garbage collection. </p> <p> The citywide subbotnik was scheduled on April 20at the request of the citizen. Last year, citywide subbotnik was held in May due to long spring and cold weather. Then more than 1,5 thousand enterprises and 55 thousand people took part in it, 400 units of equipment were involved. As a result, 75 public areas of the city were cleaned, 10.5 thousand cubic meters of garbage were taken to landfills. </p>
