Ilsur Metshin: “A lot of work needs to be done for the implementation of national projects that directly affect the living standards of Kazan citizens”

<p> Today, a meeting of the United Russia’s local Political Council took place at the Kazan City Hall. The key topic of the meeting, chaired by Ilsur Metshin - a member of the General Council of the party, Secretary of the local branch of the party, and mayor of the capital of Tatarstan, was the address of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly. </p> <p> In his address, the head of state outlined the necessary measures aimed at saving and increasing the population of Russia, as well as radically improving the economic situation of residents, said I.Metshin. “The renewal in health and educational spheres is forthcoming – he said. One of the most important issues is improving the demographic situation”. </p> <p> The Russian President said that the maternity capital program will be prolongated until at least 2026, but also radically expanded, the mayor recalled. The family will receive the maternity capital in its current amount, while at the birth of the second child, the maternity capital will increase by 150 thousand rubles and will amount to 616 thousand 617 rubles. </p> <p> Vladimir Putin also proposed providing free meals to all primary school students, introducing additional payment of at least 5,000 rubles for teachers from September 1, increasing the number of state- funded places in the universities, and changing the procedure for admitting students to medical universities. “If we solved the problem with school meals 10 years ago, then providing medical institutions with new staff remains a topical issue for us. Therefore, the proposed measures are essential for us”, - I.Metshin commented. </p> <p> This year, Tatarstan will also implement Republican programs aimed at improving the living standards of the population, the mayor added. One of the most important is the “Our yard” program, which starts this year. “This is our lifelong dream, we are grateful to our President Rustam Minnikhanov for this program”, - the head of the city said. – Presently, we have already improved more than half of all the yards of the city that need major repairs, and we will continue this work”. </p> <p> A lot of work needs to be done in the implementation of national projects that directly affect the living standards of Kazan citizens, the mayor added. He recalled that last year, according to the national project “Demography”, 9 kindergartens were built and put into operation in Kazan. According to the national project “Safe and quality roads” over the past 3 years, it was possible to repair a third of the city's roads and continue the construction of the Big Kazan ring. </p> <p> Olga Voronova, head of the Executive Committee of the United Russia’s local branch, spoke about the project activities of the Kazan branch of the party in the past year, as well as about the planned projects for this year. </p> <p> Last year, the local branch of the party implemented 15 projects related to solving social woes and developing the city, she said. </p> <p> “The work on projects will be combined in five major areas, - O.Voronova added. – Such as health care, education, assistance to the older generation, support for young families and improvement of the urban environment”. </p>
