About 200 teachers attended the training seminar.
A seminar for teachers of the Tatar language was held today at the Unber lyceum in Kazan. About 200 Kazan teachers attended a seminar, as well as foreign experts who practice new teaching formats in their work.
Such seminars give an opportunity for teachers to discover new ways of work and find inspiration, Guzel Sagitova, deputy head of the Executive Committee of Kazan, believes. “Thank you for being true to your profession and attending the seminar today. We hope that this seminar will give new impetus to your work, because a teacher always needs to look for something new- she noted. - A person who is open to new knowledge always succeeds”.
Irek Rizvanov, head of the Department of Education, noted that seminars for teachers are regularly held in Kazan, but for the first time in this format. “We wanted to hold training in a new modern format, so we hope that it would be helpful to you”, - Irek Rizvanov addressed the teachers.
The seminar program consisted of five lectures on different methods of language learning, Meshcheryakova’s method of learning in a playful way, as well as the motivation of students. Teachers shared their experience during the seminar.
The teacher of the Tatar and English languages Elvira Markova presented the new textbook “Salam” and spoke about the methods of teaching the language according to this book. The textbook consists of topics relevant to youth - gadgets, celebrities, movies and TV shows. Topics that are interesting to schoolchildren allow arousing interest in learning the language, the co-author of the manual, Elvira Markova noted.
The teacher of the Tatar language and literature at school No. 117 Faniya Gazizova shared her experience of teaching the language in a playful way. She has been practicing Meshcheryakova's method for 5 years, which is aimed at the emotional perception of the Tatar language by the child. “At the beginning, we focus on vocabulary, because initially it is important to teach the child to speak, and only then learn the grammar”, - said Faniya Gazizova.
The head of the international program of the Bala City School, Seamus Coll, spoke about the international Cambridge system. He spoke in English, simultaneous translation into Tatar was organized for the audience.
Yuto Hishiyama, a graduate student at the Tokyo University of Foreign Languages, shared his experience of learning the Tatar language and told about teaching languages in Japan.
A series of seminars for teachers of the Tatar language is organized by the Kazan City Administration in the Year of Native Languages and National Unity. The seminars began at the end of October and will run until the end of December.
