I. Metshin: “We are facing a new challenge – we must comprehensively develop the territories of the Kazan agglomeration”

The Mayor called on developers to develop the infrastructure of urban-type villages.

The construction of residential areas and integrated development of territories with the necessary infrastructure will also cover urban-type villages as part of the development of the Kazan agglomeration. The Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan Ilsur Metshin announced this today at the Business Monday.

Now developers in the housing construction provide for the development of a social environment, road transport infrastructure, and even at the design stage, construction companies must provide logistics-connection with all other districts. “Today we set the task even bigger – we are obliged to work with our “satellites” – urban-type villages, the entire Kazan agglomeration,”- the head of the city said.

For information, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to study the development of the Kazan agglomeration at the V session of the Kazan City Duma. Today, residents of many villages prefer to move to Kazan or visit social institutions in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan. This affects the traffic load – there are traffic congestions at the entrances to the city. However, according to the head of the republic, this problem will be solved, if there are not only houses, but also industrial sites and social infrastructure at these territories.
