I.Metshin: “We will not be able to support all the parks due to seasonal trade”

The Mayor of Kazan declared that it was necessary not only to assert the volume of financing on the supporting all the parks, but also to learn how to earn.

On today's Business Monday Ilsur Metshin told that the amount of citizens who visited the renewed city parks and squares, spoke of the popularity of the social spaces. He entrusted to continue this work on development of the events program in the social spaces and improvement of financial model of the supporting the parks.

Marat Zakirov, the chief of the Directorate of Parks and Squares, reported in detail about totals of summer season and basic tasks for winter-grade period. He told that the cultural, educational and sports events took place in the social city spaces in summer period. The city project “Zhiznelub" works for the older generation. In the city parks and squares the “nightlife” is going on for young people with the partners of communities “The night-time City Hall” and “Izolenta". The winter program promises to be no less saturated. So, “Winter in the parks” will take place in 18 social city spaces.

Totally the Directorate of Parks and Squares made 4,3 million roubles with the execution of commercial events for summer season, 50% was spent on supporting the Directorate, 30% was used for the execution of its own events, and 20% was spent on the infrastructure repair.

The open spaces of the city generate interest among the businessmen, as Marat Zakirov noted. So, the auctions for the accommodation of good conditions for business, rest and entertainment will start in winter-grade period at the sites of Kazan parks since November 12.

Marat Zakirov spoke of allocation of 23 million roubles for supporting 15 Kazan parks. They are the renewed festival parkway along Dekabristov street, the embankment of the Kaban Lake, the boulevard on Fuchik Street, the parkway “White flowers”.

“The Directorate of Parks and Squares is a young structure in the Executive Сommittee. Its experience is unique. The tasks which it solves are new for us. We cannot copy the experience of our Russian colleagues. The best example is Moscow. We cannot be compared with their volume of financing. We must work on two directions - to assert the volume of financing on the supporting all the parks and to learn how to earn. Absolutely properly question is put that it is necessary to prove those charges we have. We will not be able to support all the parks due to seasonal trade“, - the Mayor made comments.
