<p> The post of the Old town prefect was taken by Robert Garipov, who previously worked as the first Deputy head of the administration of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan. This was announced at the Business Monday meeting by the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. He noted that the fundamental criteria for the selection of this candidate during the public competition was his experience and knowledge of urban issues. </p> <p> The mayor of Kazan noted that the career of Robert Garipov is an example of social elevator in the Republic. “He began to work in the Sports Committee when he was a student, then he has become the head of the department of the Committee of Economics, worked at a large district with industrial enterprises. More than a year working under the leadership of Timur Alibaev, head of the administration of Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts, in one of the largest districts of Kazan under the guidance of the experienced person. In the final, we have been choosing between two candidates, but the experience and knowledge of urban economy issues of Robert Garipov tilted the balance in his favor,” the mayor explained. </p> <p> The final stage of the competition for the post of a prefect was held last week at the Executive Committee. Since October 21, a total of 11 applications have been accepted. Among the finalists, in addition to Robert Garipov, there were 5 more people: Rustam Ramazanov -General Director of Dorstroy Komplektatsiya LLC, Deputy of the Kazan city duma, Ramil Sadriev -PhD student of KFU, Marsel Fattakhov- head of the research department for drilling and grouting solutions of Kogalymnipineft LLC, Ilnur Shakirov- head of the department for the development of languages and interaction with NGOs of the Kazan Executive Committee, Renat Shamsutdinov - first deputy head of the housing policy Department of Kazan. </p> According to I. Metshin, such events allow to identify talented people who can later join the team of the Executive Committee. He noted that one of the main desires of the residents is a request to become successful and have a good career. “It's great that young people have a desire to grow, change and achieve. But in addition to the desire, you need to have knowledges and work hard. Today, the job market has a lot of offers where you can realize yourself and succeed,” - summed up the mayor.
