Large-scale work within the framework of the State Program for the Formation of the Modern Urban Environment of the RT for 2018-2022 will start in Kazan in 2018. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The first working week pleased us with news about the state program for the formation of a modern urban environment in the territory of the RT for 2018-2022. Those projects for the construction of embankments, parks, squares, which were held under the patronage of our President, today turned into the five-year period of improvement. We have a lot of work to do in this direction”, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, during the traditional Business Monday today. </p> <p> </p> <p> The state program developed by the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing of the RT is aimed at the formation of common approaches and key priorities for the formation of a modern urban environment, the improvement of the territories of municipalities in accordance with single requirements, and the creation of universal mechanisms for involving concerned citizens and organizations in the improvement process. The document is aimed at the implementation of the priority project in the RT “Creating a comfortable urban environment”, within the framework of which 26 parks, 17 beaches, 6 streets, 3 squares, 3 boulevards, and one square are planned to be improved in 2018. </p> <p> </p> <p> Also, 2018 will be marked by holding presidential elections in Russia and the World Cup. “Very busy, very responsible year is ahead. Two mega-events that will require us to do a great organizational work”, said the Mayor. </p>
