I.Metshin: “There are no critical issues that could lead to suspension of construction”

Kazan Mayor inspected the construction site at M14 – under the decision of Tatarstan President, teachers and doctors will get a priority.

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the progress of construction of the residential houses in the Privolzhsky district, which are being built under the social mortgage program and on commercial terms. The heads of construction organizations reported on the challenges of the present situation and their solutions.

Housing for 14 thousand people to be built in the M14 district

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, continues inspection of enterprises and production facilities as part of the work of the anti-crisis headquarters of the city. The working meetings were held at two construction sites – in the M14 residential area and the Vremena Goda residential complex.

Four residential buildings have already been commissioned in the M14 district, which is being built under the social mortgage program by the investor – the State Housing Fund under the President of the republic of Tatarstan. The construction of three more buildings with 255 apartments each is planned to be completed next year.

“According to the decision of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, priority in allocating housing will be given to health and education workers. The district is very well-located”, - said Marat Zaripov, Executive Director of the State Housing Fund.

The Mayor of Kazan was informed that about 500 people are involved in the construction of houses, works are carried out according to schedule. There are no problems with the shortage of building materials.

Along with the construction of housing, issues of engineering infrastructure, social facilities, transport accessibility will be resolved. There is a kindergarten for 260 children in the district. The draft layout provides for five more preschool facilities: three for 120 students each, one for 220 and another for 260 students. In addition, the construction of two schools for 1,224 places each is planned on the territory of M14.

I.Metshin thanked Marat Zaripov, Executive Director of the State Housing Fund under the President of the republic of Tatarstan: “You pay a lot of attention to fronts, materials, landscaping and the atmosphere. This is a residential area of a completely different level, where our state employees, participants of the State Housing Fund program will live in. This is your merit, as well as the merit of the builders”.

OOO “Suvarstroit” on import substitution in construction: “We are planning to find Russian counterparts shortly”

At the construction site in the Vremena Goda residential complex, the representative of OOO “Suvarstroit” Vyacheslav Suntsov told Ilsur Metshin about construction work under the present conditions.

Now three residential buildings have been put into operation in the residential complex, four more are being built as part of the second stage. “There are no problems with construction materials and logistics today. We pay salaries without any delay, so workers continue to work at the facilities. The stability is very important for the employees. By May 20, we will approve a further financial model, which provides for an increase in the cost of some construction materials and equipment”, - V.Suntsov reported.

The company is already replacing many construction materials and equipment with domestic counterparts. Previously, passenger and cargo elevators of foreign production were installed. “Now we are looking for alternative options. Therefore, we are planning to find Russian counterparts, and these problems will be solved”, - V.Suntsov added.

About 700 people already live in the residential complex, and by the end of construction within the third stage, the number of residents will be more than two thousand people. Social infrastructure is under development. It is planned to build a kindergarten for 260 children in the Vremena Goda residential complex. It is also planned to build a pedestrian overpass at the Orenburgsky tract.

“Despite the present situation, housing construction continues. To date, there are no critical issues that could lead to suspension of construction”, - Ilsur Metshin summed up.
