I.Metshin: “We are 2 km closer to our dream- to connect the Great Kazan Ring road”

<p> The construction of the Great Kazan Ring road on a site from Boriskovskaya street to Tekhnicheskaya street is progressing in advance of the respective schedule. Today, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of work. </p> <p> The Great Kazan Ring road is an important city project implemented under the national project “Safe and high-quality roads”. The new road will connect the industrial zone between the Volga and Kaban lakes with the residential part by the shortest route. </p> <p> Construction of the second stage of the Great Kazan Ring road is well underway. A 1,222 km section from Boriskovskaya street to Tekhnicheskaya street will be a continuation of a large-scale project. Work is progressing in advance of schedule, said Ruslan Musin, Deputy Director of GKU Glavtatdortrans. The site was planned to be put into operation by August 2021 – to date, the scope of construction work has already been completed by 99%. </p> <p> Work on the site was carried out in several directions. </p> <p> Before winter, it is planned to complete tree planting, installation of 1.7 km of noise shield, as well as lamps for 170 outdoor lighting poles. It is also planned to make road marking and install traffic lights. </p> <p> “99% of all construction work is completed, and very soon we will connect Pobedy Avenue with Tekhnicheskaya street and residents of the Privolzhsky district will be able to get to the industrial zone in 10-15 minutes, - Ilsur Metshin said. – But most importantly, this road will alleviate traffic in the center, on the Tank Ring, Pavlyukhin street”. </p>
