Ilsur Metshin: "Kazan teachers set a tone for the entire Volga Federal district"

<p> Today, on the eve of the teacher's day, the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin met with teachers who taught the prize-winners of the final stage of the all-Russian Olympiad 2019. The meeting was held in the City Hall in a discussion format, the moderator was Albert Akhmetov - director of the city center for creative development and humanitarian education for gifted children. </p> <p> <b>"Learning becomes trending"</b> </p> <p> Bulat Giniyatullin - Deputy director for innovation and a teacher of law in the boarding school № 2, told what the all-Russian Olympiad gives to the school: "Firstly, the all-Russian Olympiad motivates both children and teachers for development. We have a lot of Olympians at school, it creates an environment where learning becomes trending. Children begin to respect each other for a success". </p> <p> The issue of combining the educational process and preparation for the school Olympiads was discussed at the meeting. According to the Director of the lyceum №131, chemistry teacher Alfiya Khabibullina, the most difficult thing is to create a system. "We have chosen a succession. Graduates come to us and sometimes give classes, some – on a regular basis, in particular, the 4th year student of KFU Bulat Kuramshin. He is happy to share his "Olympiad" experience with the students", - told the director of the lyceum №131. </p> <p> <b>"Meetings with teachers are always special"</b> </p> <p> Bulat Kuramshin is a student of Alfiya Khabibullina – a gold medalist of the international Olympiad in chemistry, three times winner of the final stage of the all-Russian Olympiad in chemistry noted that some students may have a lack of motivation and a good support could become an annual meeting of the mayor with the winners of the Olympiads. Ilsur Metshin appreciated this initiative and suggested Bulat Kuramshin together with Alfiya Khabibullina could develop a format for such events. </p> <p> "Meetings with teachers are always special. Education is our cornerstone. This investment will determine the future of children, and correspondingly the future of the city, the Republic and the country. Teachers continued to teach and love children even in the most difficult times, and in a whole ring, saved the country. We appreciate your work", - the mayor addressed the teachers.  </p> <p> <b>Kazan has a great number of winners of the all-Russian Olympiad</b> </p> <p> The mayor of Kazan noted that in 2019 eighty-five Kazan students became the winners and prize-winners of the final stage of the all-Russian Olympiad for school students. According to the results Kazan was among the leaders after Moscow and St.Petersburg. </p> <p> "The best teachers work in Kazan, they set a tone for the whole Volga Federal district, our big country, and their students work all over the world. Some ideas and projects can change the life of millions. Therefore, we must support the educational Olympiad movement", - said Ilsur Metshin. </p> <p> In conclusion, the mayor of the Kazan expressed thanks to the teachers who taught the largest number of intellectual competitions winners. Thus, the teacher of social studies and law of the boarding school №2 Ilsur Ziganshin, director and a chemistry teacher of the lyceum №131 Alfiya Khabibullina, computer science teacher of the lyceum named after Lobachevsky Sergei Mikhailin, teacher of ecology of the same school Natalia Safiullina, teacher of informatics of the gymnasium №122 Raisa Minnigulova, teacher of ecology center "Tankodrom" Dmitry Ivanov were awarded. Letters of appreciation of the mayor of Kazan were handed over to 49 teachers of the city. </p>
