I. Metshin: “The “Kazanorgsintez” gives confidence in the future to Kazan”

Four new pyrolysis furnaces were launched at the “Kazanorgsintez”.

(KZN.RU, October 22, Alena Miroshnichenko). A solemn launch of four new pyrolysis furnaces took place today at the ethylene plant of the Kazan E-200 complex in the “Kazanorgsintez”. Alexey Pesoshin, the prime minister of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Albert Shigabutdinov, the general director of the OAO “TAIF”, Farid Minigulov, the general director of the PAO “Kazanorgsintez”, and others attended the ceremony.

After commissioning, four new pyrolysis furnaces should replace a dozen old furnaces that have worked for almost 40 years. The modernization of the furnace unit should increase the efficiency of existing production facilities, in particular, ethylene production plants, as well as enhance the safety of the process and reduce production costs.

Alexey Pesoshin, the head of the republican government, opened the solemn part of the event. He marked that the TAIF has been pursuing a policy of modernizing its plants, successfully applying the best practices of global companies for over two decades.

“Over the past 15 years, with the support of the GC “TAIF”, the main production capacity of the “Kazanorgsintez” has been updated by 70%. Every year, the company implements a large number of projects aimed at improving profitability and the efficiency of production capacity. This year, the company began a new stage of modernization, calculated for three years. Under this program, it is planned to invest more than 10 billion rubles in the construction of new facilities and the purchase of equipment. I want to confirm that the “Kazanorgsintez” is one of the most successful, modern and dynamically developing enterprises of the petrochemical complex of Russia”, said Alexey Pesoshin and thanked the team for their well-coordinated work.

The Mayor of Kazan mentioned the special role of the enterprise in the life of the capital of Tatarstan. “For 60 years, the history of the remarkable team of the “Kazanorgsintez” has been inscribed in golden letters and pages into the life of our city and republic. You open new productions, create new jobs, give confidence in the future to the plant’s team and also to Kazan. In addition to your labor victories, special social projects deserve special thanks, in which GC “TAIF” and “Kazanorgsintez” have always played a leading role”, he marked. Ilsur Metshin presented the plant with the symbol of the city, the cup, as a symbol of fullness, well-being, happiness, and confidence in the future.

The technological process on the new furnace unit is fully automated. Remote control and management of pyrolysis furnace operation from the control room have been established, and other measures have been taken to ensure the industrial safety of the facility. “Pyrolysis furnaces are the heart of the ethylene plant. The new kiln unit will have almost half of the production of ethylene. It meets the highest technical and environmental standards and has high economic efficiency”, said Albert Shigabutdinov. He thanked the city authorities for their support throughout the history of the Orgsintez.

The plant workers who showed the best results in their work were given the honorary titles “Honored Builder of the RT”, “Honored Chemist of the RT”, and they were awarded diplomas of TAIF and PAO “Kazanorgsintez” at the ceremony. In conclusion, the ceremony participants pushed the impromptu launch button for new furnaces.

The construction of new furnaces was carried out from May 2017 to November 2018. Eight out of ten old furnaces will be decommissioned and dismantled.
