The attractiveness of the capital of Tatarstan directly depends on skills of managers, waiters, maids and other employees of hotels and restaurants, has said the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, addressing the winners of the competition "Stars of hospitality-2017". The awards ceremony took place in the column hall of the Kazan city hall today. The competition of professional skills among representatives of tourism and hospitality industry is held in Kazan for the third time. This year about 110 people have taken part in it. The expert jury following the results of practical competitions has defined winners in 8 nominations: "The best waiter", "The best bartender", "The best cook", "The best manager of restaurant", "The best porter", "The best maid", "The best guide", "The best internal and entrance tourism manager". "The industry of hospitality becomes one of the drivers of Kazan’s economy, the business card of Kazan. Tourist flow and attractiveness of our city directly depends on ability to receive guests, skills of managers, waiters of restaurants and cafe, accuracy and conscientiousness of maids and other employees of hotels, - Ilsur Metshin has said, preceding delivery of awards. - I am so glad that the skills of specialists of tourist industry of the city grows every year. It allows us to take the leading positions in various ratings which are estimating the industry of hospitality and development of tourism in Kazan". He has added that this year will become special for tourism industry, because Kazan hosts the FIFA World Cup of 2018, which will attract even more guests, than the water sports World Cup took place in 2015 or the Cup of confederations of 2017. He has reminded that among them there may be a three-million tourist, and someone from contestants will have honor to meet him. </p> <p> The mayor of Kazan has congratulated winners of a competition and has presented them awards - diplomas and figurines in the form of a star – the "Hospitality Star" sign. </p> <p> We are reminding, that year 2018 in Kazan is announced as Year of hospitality. In the spring the new route of the double-decker excursion bus will be started, experts also develop two new directions for excursions – tours on the necropolises and places, connected with staying in Kazan the musician Vladimir Vysotsky. Besides, on the eve of the FIFA World Cup of 2018, the <br> catalog on evening and night entertainments at the city will be published, and the Festival of fans of FIFA will open on the territory of the Center of family "Kazan" during the games. </p>
