The Mayor of Kazan awarded the winners of the city competition “Woman of the Year. Man of the Year: women's choice”.
Today, on the eve of the International Women's Day, the results of the city competition “Woman of the Year. Man of the Year: women's choice” were summed up at the Kazan City Hall. The awards were presented to the winners by the Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan Ilsur Metshin. In an informal atmosphere, the winners talked about their achievements in various fields.
“I am sincerely glad to welcome you here today, we are summing up the results of our competition. This is an opportunity for us to say words of admiration, love and tenderness to our beautiful women,”- the Mayor of Kazan addressed the winners of the contest.
The winner in the category “Woman – Mother” became Marina Varlamova, who brings up six children: one girl and five boys. Tatarstan Honored Artist Lilia Nizamieva was awarded in the category “Woman-Culture and Spirituality”. She is an artist of the Tatar Youth Theater named after G. Kariev, and also a lecturer at the Kazan State Institute of Culture and Arts.
Dina Lavrikova, Director General of Nefis Cosmetics, was awarded as a “Business Woman”. During the self-isolation period, the company handed over 290 tons of humanitarian aid to hospitals, and on the eve of 2021, presented 100 tons of its products to employees of 23 hospitals and 166 schools in Kazan.
Kamila Akhmetgalieva, Director of Alan+ company and manager of the Novinka restaurant, also was awarded in the category “Business Woman”. She was one of the first businesswomen to provide free daily meals for doctors working in the “red zone” with COVID patients.
Tatiana Kroupnova, Director of OOO Taur Center, Suleiman Palace Hotel, won the nomination “Woman – Example of the Year”. During the pandemic, from April to June 2020, accommodation and meals for medical workers of the Republican Clinical Hospital working in the “red zone” were organized at the hotel free of charge.
Olga Bagdanova, the chief doctor of the municipal polyclinic № 7, was named a “Woman Leader”. Since the first days of the pandemic, mobile teams have been established in the polyclinic to provide emergency care at home, and the departments of the policlinic have been converted into a day hospital for the rehabilitation of patients with coronavirus infection.
Alla Kopach, leading engineer of the Department of Aircraft Production of the Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. Tupolev, was nominated as the “Heroine of the third age”.
Ramzia Kiyamova, PhD in Biological Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology of Kazan Federal University, was awarded in the “Woman Scientist” category for the contribution to the development of medicine.
The winner in the category “Special Recognition” was Irina Tsareva, an installer of radio-electronic equipment and devices of the scientific and production association “Radioelectronika” named after V. Shimko. Fidaniya Altynbayeva, detector operator at the KMPO plant, was awarded in the nomination “My destiny – my profession”.
Traditionally, according to the results of the competition, the “Man of the Year” was also awarded. In the category “A Noble Heart Man”, the winner was Sergey Krivoshapko, deputy chief physician of the municipal hospital №16, who heads the temporary infectious diseases hospital for COVID patients, established in May 2020. For almost three months, he did not leave the hospital and was in the “red zone” for 20 hours every day.
