The Mayor of Kazan met with the winner of the national contest of young composers Milyausha Khairullina.
Kazan pianist, composer Milyausha Khairullina became the winner of the Partitura National Contest in the nomination “Opera music or operetta music”. The results were summed up in March at the great hall of the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, met the gifted author at the Town Hall, congratulated her on the victory and presented her with a certificate for a piano.
The composer received a prestigious award for the Qavi-Sarvar opera, dedicated to the love story of the canonical Tatar writer Qavi Najmi and his spouse Sarvar Adgamova. At the competition, soloists Arthur and Elza Islamova accompanied by the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pavel Kogan performed the opera. More than 800 applications were submitted for the contest from 63 regions of the country. As Milyausha Khairullina noted, it is very important for her that the jury of the festival commended the Tatarstan national opera.
“We are very proud that young Kazan composers perform at the All-Russian level. Kazan has a great creative portfolio, many artists and composers glorified their native city. It is very important that the younger generation continues these glorious traditions”, - the Mayor of Kazan emphasized.
Milyausha Khairullina performed a small piece of fantasia on the theme of the Tatar song “Sarman”. Her mother, who teaches at Kazan Music School No. 22, instilled love for music to young composer. Milyausha Khairullina told the Mayor that conductor, head of the Tatarstan State Symphony Orchestra Alexander Sladkovsky, appreciated her opera, with which she won first place, and now the issue of its staging in Kazan is being resolved.
During the meeting, Ilsur Metshin presented the young composer a letter of thanks and a certificate for a piano.
Milyausha Khairullina graduated from the secondary music school for gifted children, and then entered the Kazan State Conservatory named after N.Zhiganov and after graduation was employed at music school No. 22. In 2018, at the city competition “Teacher of the Year” Milyausha Khairullina took second place in the nomination “Teacher of Supplementary Education”.
Today, the talented composer teaches at the Kazan Conservatory. Milyausha Khairullina is the winner and laureate of many prestigious performing and composing competitions, including the National competition of the Russian Ministry of Culture “Young Talents of Russia”, a participant in the project and gala concert “Alumni. The best graduates of conservatories in Russia”. Now she is actively performing and composing. She writes orchestra, chamber, vocal, theatrical music.
In addition, in the near future the composer wants to release a collection of piano pieces. “Many teachers come to me and ask me to write small works for teaching in schools. I hope that my works will be played in Kazan music schools”, - M.Khairullina said.
